Exovet (Oral Solution)
Exovet (Oral Solution) is a veterinary medicine formulated with Fluralaner (10 mg per 1 ml). It is indicated for the treatment of Poultry Red Mite (D. gallinae) and Northern Fowl Mite (O.sylviarum) infestations in chickens, specifically pullets, breeders, and layer hens. Exovet is also effective against external parasites in sheep for various situations, including off-shears, shorn sheep, unshorn lambs, and ewes with lambs at foot
Benefits:
- Effective against key poultry mites: Treats Poultry Red Mite and Northern Fowl Mite infestations in chickens.
- Broad spectrum efficacy in sheep: Effective on a wide range of sheep types, including off-shears, shorn, unshorn lambs, and sheep with varying wool lengths.
- Zero-day egg and wool withdrawal: Eggs from treated chickens and wool from treated sheep have no withdrawal period, allowing for continued production.
- Versatile administration: Can be given via drinking water for chickens and orally with drench equipment for sheep.
- Dual-species treatment: Exovet is indicated for use in both chickens and sheep, offering a single product solution for different livestock.
- Flexible chicken administration window: The medicated water for chickens can be administered over a period of 4 to 24 hours, allowing for adaptation to flock drinking patterns.
- Specific dosage guidelines for various sheep weights: The product provides a detailed dosage table for sheep, ensuring accurate administration across different body weights, with an additional calculation for sheep over 100 kg.
- Long interval between chicken treatments: If another course of treatment is needed for chickens, there's a minimum 3-month interval, potentially reducing frequency of intervention.
- Ewe and lamb co-treatment: Ewes and lambs can be treated together after lambing has finished, simplifying management.
