Protoban

Protoban is composed of both Quinapyramine Sulphate and Quinapyramine Chloride that differ in their absorption and action in animal body. This mixture has the same activity as that of quinapyramine sulphate but chloride compound results in formation of subcutaneous depot from which it is released slowly, resulting in prophylactic effect for about three months.Protoban is effective in prevention and treatment of trypanosomiasis in all animal species such as camels, cattle, horses, dogs, pigs, sheep and goats, caused by different Trypanosoma spp. (T. evansi, T. congolense, T. vivax, T. brucei, T. equinum, T. equiperdeum and T. simiae).
