Description

Diacidol is a non-systemic public health pesticide, from the organophosphorus compounds, used as ectoparasiticide, contains 20% (w/v) Diazinon (O,O-diethyl 0-2- isopropyl- 6-methylpyramidin- 4-yl Phosphorothioate (IUPAC)) as emulsifiable concentrate.

–  A useful dressing for the control of Blowfly (Lucilia cuprina) strike on struck sheep, and as a dressing for marking wounds.

–  For the control of Lice (Bovicola bovisLinognathus vituliHaematopinus eurysternus) and Buffalo Fly (Haematobia irritans exigua) on cattle, Lice (Bovicola caprae) on goats

Strike Dressing

100 ml / 20 Liters water

Shear/ clip the strike wound and saturate struck area thoroughly.

Goats

Lice (Bovicola caprae)

Hand Spray

50 ml / 20 Liters water

Thoroughly wet goats with spray. A second spraying may be necessary 16-17 days later.

Cattle

Lice (Bovicola bovisLinognathus vituliHaematopinus eurysternus)

Hand Spray

50 ml / 20 Liters water

Spray thoroughly using 5-10 liters per head. A second spraying 16-17 days later is necessary to break the life cycle of the lice.

Cattle (Beef)

Buffalo Fly (Haematobia irritans exigua)

Backrubber

1 Liter / 20 Liters of oil.

Soak backrubber thoroughly. Re-treat as necessary.

-Do not use Diacidol 20 EC for dipping or jetting sheep.

-Do not use on lactating or pregnant ewes where milk or milk products may be used for human consumption.

–  Cattle: 

 Meat: Cattle must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment and within 3 days from the last treatment.

 Milk: Nil.

 

–  Sheep and Goats:

Meat: Sheep and goat must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment and within 14 days from the last treatment.

Milk (Sheep): Do not use in lactating or pregnant ewes where their milk or milk products may be used for human consumption.

 

Milk (Goats): Milk from treated goats must not be used for human consumption during treatment and within 48 hours from the last treatment.

Wool (Sheep): Do not use less than 2 months before shearing or fiber collection.

Store away from any direct source of heat or flame and at temperature below 30oC.
