Trichovet (Oral Solution)
Trichovet is an anti-protozoan product, it is indicated for treat infections caused by trichomoniasis, giardia, amebiasis, paramecium, histomonosis, eimeriosis, salmonellosis and cryptosporidium, it also effects anaerobic bacteria like (Campylobacter, Corynebacterium, and Clostridium). It can be used with antibiotics such as Sulfonamides to control diarrhea and coccidiosis.

Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Tinidazole 100 mg
Indications:
Trichovet is an anti-protozoan product, it is indicated for treating infections caused by trichomoniasis, giardia, amebiasis, paramecium, histomonosis, eimeriosis, salmonellosis and cryptosporidium, it also effects anaerobic bacteria like (Campylobacter, Corynebacterium, and Clostridium). It can be used with antibiotics such as Sulfonamides to control diarrhea and coccidiosis.
Target species:
Pigeons, Backyard Poultry, Turkey, dogs, cats, and horses.
Dosage and administration:
Administration route: via drinking water.
Pigeons, Backyard Poultry and Turkey: 2 ml / 1 liter of drinking water for 2 days, or 15-25 mg / kg of bodyweight single dose should be administered for 10 days
Dogs and Cats: 15-25 mg / kg bodyweight for 10 days
Horses: 15-25 mg / kg bodyweight for 10 days, or according to the veterinarian’s instructions.
Remarks
- Animals sensitive to tinidazole may experience allergic reactions in the form of fever, urticaria, vomiting. After discontinuation of the drug, these symptoms disappear without special treatment.
- Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment and within 7 days of last treatment.
Contraindications:
Not to be used for laying chicken.
Storage:
Store at a temperature below 30oC.
