Tredoxine
Tredoxine is a broad-spectrum antibacterial containing Sulfadoxine and Trimethoprim, which work synergistically to inhibit bacterial folic acid synthesis. It treats respiratory, alimentary, urogenital, and systemic infections in cattle, sheep, goats, and dogs. Effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, it targets pathogens like E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., and Staphylococcus spp., ensuring comprehensive control of bacterial diseases in multiple species.
Description
Each 1 ml contains:
Sulfadoxine 200 mg
Trimethoprim 40 mg
It may be used in the treatment of a wide range of diseases, including Respiratory, Alimentary, Urogenital and general infections caused by bacteria sensitive to Sulfadoxine/Trimetoprim therapy in Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Dogs.
Tredoxine Inj. is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, for example Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus sp., Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Pneumococcus spp., E. coli, Brucella spp., Proteus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Klebsiella spp and Campylobacter spp.
3 ml per 50 kg bodyweight (equivalent to 15 mg active ingredients / kg bodyweight).
A single injection may be sufficient but in more severe infections the dose should be repeated at 24 hour intervals until the clinical signs have resolved.
Administration:
Cattle, Sheep and Goats: By intramuscular, subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.
Dogs: By slow intravenous injection only.
Not recommended for cats or kittens.
Cattle, Sheep and Goats (Meat): 14 days.
Cattle (Milk): 72 hours (6 milkings).
Do not use in female Sheep and Goats which are producing or may in future produce milk or milk products for human consumption.
Store in a dark place at a temperature below 30oC.
Shelf life after first opening of the container: 28 days.
