ELECTROVET PLUS, a powder for oral solution, is an oral rehydration product indicated for the reversal of the processes of dehydration, electrolyte loss, and acidosis associated with scour in calves, whether due to nutritional, bacterial, viral, or cryptosporidial causes.
ELECTROVET PLUS is specifically formulated to provide both high levels of sodium (90 mmol/1) to enable rapid water absorption and also to provide increased bicarbonate precursor for the correction of acidosis.
The increased glucose level provides more energy for the calf without interfering with rehydration.

Dosage: A solution, which is administered orally, is prepared as follows: dissolve the contents of one sachet (83.74 g) in 2 liters of warm milk, milk replacer or water.
Administration: Two liters of the solution, freshly prepared as directed, is given twice daily for 2 days.
If the diarrhea is severe the 2 liters of solution should be fed 3 or 4 times daily. The solution provides an adequate source of nutrients and electrolytes, which are readily absorbed and may be administered on its own for a maximum of 4 days. Thereafter normal diet is resumed. A fine deposit of insoluble carrier may remain after dissolving the contents of the sachet- this does not affect the efficacy of the product.
Discard any unused solution after 24 hours.
