Description
Each 1 ml contains:
Ketoprofen 100 mg
In horses indicated for
-Alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders.
-Alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic.
In cattle indicated for
-Supportive treatment of parturient paresis associated with calving.
-Reducing pyrexia and distress associated with bacterial respiratory disease when used in conjunction with antimicrobial therapy as appropriate.
-Improving the recovery rate in acute endotoxin mastitis caused by Gram-negative microorganisms, in conjunction with antimicrobial therapy.
-Reducing oedema of the udder associated with calving.
Horses:
In musculoskeletal conditions:
1 ml per 45 kg bodyweight by intravenous injection once daily for up to 3-5 days.
(2.2 mg ketoprofen/kg body weight)
In equine colic:
1 ml per 45 kg bodyweight by intravenous injection (for immediate effect), a second injection may be given if colic recurs.
(2.2 mg ketoprofen /kg body weight)
Cattle:
1 ml per 33 kg bodyweight, by intravenous or deep intramuscular injection once daily for up to 3 days. (3 mg ketoprofen /kg body weight)
-Avoid intra-arterial injection.
-Do not exceed the stated dose or the duration of treatment.
-Do not administer other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) concurrently or within 24 hours of each other.
-Do not administer to horses, cattle or pig who have previously shown hypersensitivity to ketoprofen.
-Avoid use in dehydrated, hypovolumic or hypotensive animals, as there is a potential risk of increased renal toxicity.
-Ketoprofen should not be administered to pregnant mare.
-Ketoprofen should not be used in any animal less than 6 weeks of age or in aged animals
Horses:
Meat: 1 day
Cattle:
Meat: IV: 1 day IM: 4 days
Milk: Zero days
Store in a dry and dark place , at temperature below 30˚C.
